Typically sold for $459.00 new - even in 2002! A VERY exclusive limited edition. Made in Norway. I bought this at the Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002. It is the official sweater sanctioned by the Olympics Comittee in 1997 as attested to a tag sewn on the interior. It has been worn a couple of times since then. This is an incredibly thick ALL Norwegian wool sweater that is very heavy. It weighs 2.3 LBS.!! Not suitable for a mid layer, only for exterior use due to it's thickness and warmth. The colors are deep and vibrant. The fibers are not "itchy" at all and it breathes extremely well. According to Dale's website: "Branding wise... the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics stands out as the most important event for us." This classic heirloom quality all wool sweater is the PERFECT vintage style ski accessory for having a cocktail on a 5 star resort's outside deck or for cross country skiing. Size is true American XL. You are sure to get many compliments!
