Making a Purchase Decision

Here’s the lowdown.

A lot of the gear on our site is used, or as we like to say, UnNew. Some of it is in never-used, mint condition (such as returned or unsold inventory from brands and vendors we work with). Remember, good gear is built to last—so if it has a little wear and tear, that’s totally fine. It’s got a lot of life and adventure left in it!

Here’s a rundown of our item conditions, so you know what to expect:

New Never used. Gear that has been purchased, but has not been used.
Excellent This gear should be like new with very minor, if any, signs of use. Most likely used a handful of times, clean and well cared for.
Good This gear is still in good shape. There’s some wear and tear, but has plenty of life left in it. Most likely used between 1-3 seasons.
Fair This gear is still usable and is in OK shape, but shows noticeable signs of wear and tear. Most likely used for several seasons.

If you have questions about the condition of an item, we encourage you to ask the seller! On every item page, there is an ASK A QUESTION button, which lets you contact the seller and find out more information about that item. You’ll get an email with their answer, and the answer will appear on the item page, too.

PRO TIP: Check out the current questions and answers to get a better understanding of the gear.
